Infrared Thermal Imaging

Infrared Thermal Imaging

Our State-of-the-Art Infrared technology allows Becht to
perform non-invasive inspections of your property or system
without the destructive removal of a building's components.

Our infrared technology allows Becht to detect water infiltration
issues, mold problems, roof moisture conditions, building heat
loss due to missing insulation or air infiltration and other construction
deficiencies that might otherwise go undetected due to the limitations
of visual inspections.

How Does Infrared Thermal Imaging Work?

The corner of this EIFS coated building shown in natural
daylight appears to have some mold forming from an
overflowing gutter. The adjacent unit also had mold
forming inside under the window. The gutters were
cleaned monthly, but the problem did not go away.
The owners did not want to remove the EIFS
so they called Becht.

Here is the same corner of the building shown in an
infrared image photo taken by Becht that evening.
The dark purple areas show where moisture has
infiltrated the EIFS and remains long after the surface
of the building has dried out. With this information the
building was successfully repaired with minimum
destruction to the facade.
